PREP WORK:
Formatting/Print Set-up: $125.00 per book.
Copyright: $75.00 per copyright
ISBN: Total $50.00. Breakdown: 2 ISBNs at $25.00 per ISBN (eBook and paperback).
UPC: $40.00 per book [i.e. $20.00 per UPC - with a minimum of two UPCs required per book - eBook and paperback).
Domain Registration: $64.10 Total For Full Registration of Book Domain - Six Endings (Full registration depends on domain availability). One-time $2.00 per domain registration charge/per ending, plus domain registration fee per each year/per ending. Six endings registered and protected (if available):
.com: $8.75/year + $2.00 (one-time charge)
.net: $8.75/year + $2.00 (one-time charge)
.org: $8.75/year + $2.00 (one-time charge
.info: $8.75/year + $2.00 (one-time charge

Themed Booksites: For books selected, placement on one of the Themed Booksites [Fiction, Historical Fiction, Science Fiction, Romance, Adventure-Action, Non-Fiction, Biography, Education Self-Help, Children's] is at no additional charge
Website Development: $295.00 Total Cost for 1 Website (including first year of hosting). Breakdown: $175.00 for book website development. Website hosting $120.00/year ($10.00/month).
The PalmStore: The PalmStore (as retailer) receives $1.05 per each eBook sold and $3.95 per each paperback book sold. PayPal fees are $.30 plus 2.9% of sales price. Order processing/handling is $.50; shipping is at actual cost (not included). Author receives the rest. Example: On $10.00 PalmStore paperback sale, author's share of sales proceeds is estimated to be $4.96 per sale. This is an estimate only. Also, Initial Print Run costs, possible sales tax liability, and returned book costs are not included.
Palm's eBay Store: eBay charges $3.30 per ad (pro-rated) plus 5.25% of sales price; store listings are $.05 per month. Palm Publishers (as eBay retailer) receives $1.05 per each eBook sold and $3.15 per each paperback book sold. PayPal fees are $.30 plus 2.9% of sales price. Order processing/handling is $.50; shipping is at actual cost (not included). Author receives the rest. Example: Assuming pro-ration of ad fee, then on $10.00 eBay store paperback sale, author's share of sales proceeds is estimated to be $1.88 per sale for 1 sale/month, $4.92 for 30 sales/month, or $5.14 per sale (100 sales/month). This is an estimate only. Also, Initial Print Run costs, possible sales tax liability, and returned book costs are not included.
Amazon.com: Amazon.com charges $.99 per sale plus 15% of sales price. Palm Publishers (as Amazon retailer) receives $.85 per each eBook sold and $2.65 per each paperback book sold. PayPal fees are $.30 plus 2.9% of sales price. Order processing/handling is $.50; shipping is at actual cost (not included). Author receives the rest. Example: On $10.00 Amazon Store paperback sale, author's share of sales proceeds is estimated to be $3.77 per sale. This is an estimate only. Also, Initial Print Run costs, possible sales tax liability, and returned book costs are not included.
Bookstores; Other Outlets: Marketing through traditional bookstores and other outlets is not included in the initial print run. Bookstore/outlet charges vary by retailer; to be determined based on early-return internet sales. Palm Publishers receives $.85 per takes each eBook sold and $2.65 per each paperback book sold.
Order Fulfillment/Shipping: Order fulfillment is $.50 per book; packaging/shipping are at actual cost.
