Palm Publishers has an online store on eBay. The eBay store can be found at: Palm Publishers on eBay. Books being marketed by Palm Publishers are offered for sale to the public through Palm's eBay Store. Palm's eBay Store offers both eBook and paperback products.
The retail pricing structure of traditional retailers [i.e. bookstores and other outlets] does not apply to the PalmStore, Palm's eBay Store, or Amazon.com. Palm Publishers sets retail price within parameters. For paperbacks sold in the PalmStore and Palm's eBay store:
If the initial print run is 100, the minimum retail price is $7.95 and the maximum retail price is $16.95;
If the initial print run is 250, the minimum retail price is $6.95 and the maximum retail price is $13.95;
If the initial print run is 500, the minimum retail price is $5.95 and the maximum retail price is $11.95.
For eBooks sold (via file transfer) in the PalmStore and Palm's eBay store:
The minimum retail price is $1.95 and the maximum retail price is $7.95.
eBay charges $3.30 per ad (pro-rated) plus 5.25% of sales price; store listings are $.05 per month. Palm Publishers receives $.85 from every eBook sale and $3.15 from every paperback book sale. There is also a $.50 order fulfillment charge, and packaging/shipping (at actual cost).
Palm's eBay Store offers customers (through PayPal merchant bank services) the ability to pay for the book via credit card (VISA, Mastercard, American Express or Discover). There is a merchant bank fee of approximately $.30 per transaction and 2.9% of the retail price - these PayPal fees are in addition to the PalmStore charges.
